OBJECTS & INSTALLATIONS

Objects &
Installations

Leatherwork, sculpture, installation and responsive digital work shaped through material, memory and use.

Leatherwork

Handmade bags, belts and functional objects developed through a long practice of cutting, stitching, construction and teaching.

Kazemi designed leather goods and taught leatherworking in Iran from 2007 to 2012.

Leatherwork photographs will be added from the artist’s archive.

Material language

Wire, wood, branches, foam, found matter and industrial compounds become carriers of memory, pressure and transformation.

SCULPTURAL STUDIES

Woman 1 & Woman 2

Two female figures examine constraint, objectification and the possibility of transformation. One body breaks through binding wires; the other contrasts an emptied, plastic exterior with enduring interior thought.

INSTALLATION

Before Words

A chair and natural branches form a space between root, body and language—both a trace of human presence and the sign of an empty place.

Materials: natural branches, chair, construction paste, cement-based compound, wall adhesive and paper/tissue texture.

INSTALLATION & DIGITAL WORK

Roots, an installation of separated wood forms reconnected with colored wires
Roots. Cut tree trunk, polished wood, coloured wire and metal base.

Roots

A cut tree trunk, polished wood and coloured wires form an image of migration, suspension and attempted reconnection.

Ut over det synlige. Digital sound-reactive visualizer using painting images and motifs from the exhibition.

Ut over det synlige

A live sound-reactive visualizer brings the exhibition’s paintings into motion. Figures, colour and texture fragment, pulse and morph with sound, creating a changing atmosphere within the gallery.
